Cook - Diane Christine Boos, 55 of Centerport, NY, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2011. Diane graduated from SUNY Farmingdale and worked as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Kitzis in Woodbury, NY for most of her professional life. Beloved daughter of the late Harold and Adeline Boos. Predeceased by her loving husband Stephen Cook. Loving step-mother of Robin, Tracy and Todd Cook. Cherished grandmother of Ryan Wardak. Daughter in-law of Dorothy Cook and sister in-law to Bruce Cook. Devoted companion of Larry Battaglia. Diane is also survived by her sister Jeanette (Gene) Donohue, her niece Nichol and nephew Matthew. Friends may visit at the Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, NY Sunday and Monday 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Religious Service Monday 8 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Timothy Hoyt Duncan, officiating. In lieu of flowers donations to one of her favorite charities; Save the Children or the Junior Welfare League of Huntington, would be appreciated.
