Susan Burk Paterson, 72, passed away on April 2, 2011 at St. Catherine's Hospital after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Mrs. Paterson was born on February 18, 1939 in Lancaster, PA. She was a current resident at St. Johnland Nursing Center in Kings Park, NY where she was an active participant in recreational activities, secretary of the resident council, a member of the Red Hat Society and a dedicated artist. Prior to that, she and her family lived in Lloyd Harbor, NY for 30 plus years. Mrs. Paterson, a loving mother and grandmother, is survived by her 4 children, Scott Paterson, Laura Brough, Jennifer Marshall, Stuart Paterson and 6 grand children.
