Moore - Lois G. of Northport on March 17, 2012, 80 years of age. Devoted wife of the late Michael E. B. Loving mother of Penny & Patty Moore. Dear grandmother of Lucas & Joshua Iben and Seth Moore. Fond sister of George Gifford, Jr. An avid orchid grower and horticulture enthusiast, Lois was an active leading member of the Nathan Hale Garden Club for 48 years and a qualified Master Gardener and Master Judge. She was also a former member of both the Art League of Long Island and the Northport Zoning Board. As an animal lover, Lois was a foster parent to many dogs over the years and a loyal contributor to many wildlife charities. A small memorial service will be held on May 19th, 10 am in the St. John's Cemetery chapel, Route 25A, Cold Spring Harbor.
