Obituary of Lillian M. Bryan
Bryan – Lillian M., 91, of Jacksonville, NC. Originally a Greenlawn, NY resident of 58 years, Lillian passed away peacefully on July 31, 2015 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC. Beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Bryan, she is survived by her daughter Maret Wheeler (Peter Boller) and son Larry (Dottie). She is also survived by her grandson Ken Cresswell (Karen), great-granddaughter Erica, her brother Paul Henfield (Lilian), nephew Paul Henfield and niece Joan Henfield. Lillian received the Honor of the Accolade in 1966 and became an Honored Lady in the Order of the Amaranth in the Nathan Hale Court, Huntington which later incorporated with Legend Court No. 166 in Smithtown. She immediately became an Officer in the Court and served as Royal Matron, a number of times. She went on to serve as a Grand Officer of the Grand Court of New York in a number of capacities. Lillian was active with the same zeal as always. She would have received her 50-year pin this year. Family will gather at Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, Monday, August 10, at 12 PM. An Amaranth memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 1 PM. Interment in Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
