Jim was a unique guy who I owe so much. I first met him as a caddy at the Huntington Crescent Club before he left to join Indian Hills. Later, I met Jim and Joe Saner as they rode the bar car of the 5:07 train home to Northport changing at Huntington. They rode that train religiously sitting in the same 5 seater most every night. Me and several friends got to know them and ultimately were hired to work at D&B. Eventually, they hired the bartender who I worked with in the Melville office and was an excellent person and hire. They had an eye for talent!! Getting hired at D&B was one of the best things ever to happen to me and forever I will be most appreciative. I met so many wonderful people and have so many wonderful memories. I consider Jim Wallace to be one of the most important person I ever met. He was a fun guy who loved to enjoy a cocktail. His family, especially his lovely wife Joan, were always most important to him. God Bless you Jim!! It was a pleasure knowing you and enjoying your company!!!
