Henry C. Jennings of Shelter Island and Northport passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016. At 92 he joins his daughter Ann in heaven and is survived by his wife Joan and sons John, Henry, Bruce and Alan; and son-in law Kevin and daughters-in-law Claudia, Carla and Piedad. He will be missed by his loving grandchildren – Sarah (Jason), Tricia, Sean, Katie (Josh), Erica, Carolyn, Matthew, Patrick and great grandchild Brayden. After serving in World War II, he spent 30 years as an educator in Northport and furthered his academic credentials at New York University and Columbia University. The viewing will be at Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave., Northport, NY 11768 on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service Thursday 9:30 AM, Trinity Episcopal Church, Rev Michael Bartolomeo Presiding, 130 Main Street, Northport. Interment to follow, with U.S. Army Military Honors, at Calverton National Cemetery.
