Obituary of Gunnar James Walsh

Walsh, Gunnar James, tragically on June 9, 2017, 24 years old, of San Diego, formerly of Northport. Beloved son of Gregory and Tammy Walsh. Loving brother of Cody Walsh (Shannon)and his beloved pups Buster, Buddy and Jersey. Fond grandson of Merritt and Claire Miller, & the late Richard and Elizabeth Walsh. Adored nephew of Thomas Miller (Theresa), Todd Miller (Melissa) Seline Walsh and Sean Walsh (Kathy). Loving cousin of Krista, Ally, Henry, Natalie, Mason, Elle, Devin and Conor. Gunnar was a skilled welder and talented fabricator who left a lasting impression on his employer and co-workers at Superior Ready Mix in San Diego, CA. Gunnar was a loving, kind, caring young man who courageously fought to maintain a life of recovery. Unfortunately, it was a battle he was unable to win. Reposing Saturday 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue Northport. Service 8PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. John Jurik, officiating. Cremation private. Gunnar adored his beloved rescue pups so much and was passionate about the well-being of all dogs in need of care. His memory will be honored every day with New York Bully Crew's efforts to rescue and save dogs in dire need.
