Very sorry to hear of Rosemary's passing. Our entire family has great memories of her and Mr. O'B. They were both always great to all of us. Always very welcoming and friendly and just all around great people. They will be missed. Our condolences to the entire surviving O'brien Clan. You guys come from good stock! God bless.

I was very sorry to hear of Mrs O'Brien's passing. I had the honor of purchasing the O'Brien house on Louisa Court in 2008. It always amazes me that when I meet people from the area and say that I live on Louisa Court they always know the O'Brien family and have lovely things to say about the family. My husband and I were honored and privileged to have known this very great lady. I first met Rosemary when she came to work the Women's Center at Northport VA and I instantly felt that I had known her all my life. I especially loved watching her and Dr. Lobo as they adored each other and I looked forward every Tuesday to see them working together. She welcomed us as friends and my husband and I shared a number occasions with Ed and Rosemary. We are so blessed to have known them both. I can still hear her voice as I had spoken with her last Monday when she asked me to call back as the Physical Therapist was coming and also Tuesday morning when I spoke with her and she was in great pain waiting for the ambulance. I have their picture in my office for an many years as I hold them very dear. They were a part of our life and we will hold them both in our hearts always.

We had a very long journey together as employees at the VA in Northport. I have been welcomed by Rosemary and many others on the unit I work in as a colleague. But it did not stay that way very long. We became very good friends. We went through all the grand children's births, weddings and losses together. And now I am mourning the loss of a very dear friend but also am happy that you are again with Ed (whom we all miss) and now not in any discomfort which had been a constant companion of yours for the last few months. I will miss you at our outings and get together but especially will miss the friendship that was extended to me for all those years. My condolence to the family. Will miss you very much, Younghee

I have very fond memories working with Rosemary on the Hospice Unit at the VA. We laughed, we cried and I will cherish the time we had together. Our circle of friends always enjoyed our adventures into the City, to see shows and eat out. We shared many good times and lots of laughter. . Richard and I are deeply saddened to hear of her passing Please accept our heartfelt condolences for losing such a dear friend. She will be greatly missed. Rosemary was my Long Island sister. We met in 1978 when I moved to Long Island and began to work at the Northport VA. In 1984 I became a head nurse and Rosemary transferred to work with me. After she retired, she came back to work as a contract Nurse for the Women’s Center where I was the Nurse Case Manager at that time. Ed and Rosemary attended Craig and my family functions, communions and weddings for our daughters. About 7 years ago the four of us went on a Hawaiian Cruise together. Craig and I, along with Rosemary and Ed, went tubing down the sugan cane canals on the Hawaiian Mountain sides. Age was not a barrier for Rosemary and Ed to live life to the fullest! Rosemary was such a wonderful friend to me and I will miss her so much! She was a wonderful Nurse and I witnessed her compassion to our Veteran Patients many times. I am very blessed to have been so close to her.
