Msgr. Colgan , was a deer friend of my family not only did he baptize members of my family but married them and unfortunately buried some of them we were eternally grateful for His spiritual blessings. He will be surly missed but he will never be forgotten, he was a part of St. Phillips church for so many years and helped us out in so many ways , let God take him into Heaven now so he can be rewarded for all his work. God Bless !

When I arrived in Northport June 2000, Msgr. Colgan N Fr. Peter Garry embraced me as their brother priest and made me feel at home. Over they years, these two gentlemen have become so much part of my life. Msgr. Colgan being my one of the mentor, guiding me to be a good priest. Learnt lot from his wisdom, intelligent, his experiences and of his great sense of humor. The day he died in St. Joseph hospital, I had an opportunity to pray with his family and gave him prayerful sendoff. You were the Priest who followed the Heart of Jesus. May you now rest in peace and enjoy the eternal bliss. I am going to miss you Msgr. TJC.

Father Colgan was one of our Parish priests while I attended Saint Raymond's grammar school in East Rockaway, Long Island from 1959 to 1967. I remember him as a very happy and inspiring priest. My prayers go out to his family and they should know that he will be remembered fondly.
