Obituary of Peter J. Roe, Jr.

Peter J. Roe, Jr. - Of Commack, on February 5th, 98 years of age. Born in Richmond Hill, NY on November 29, 1919.  Career officer in the United States Air Force serving as a bombardier in WWII and a navigator in the Korean Conflict.  Recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross.  Beloved husband of the late Edith to whom he was married for 61 years. Loving father of Kathy (Mark) Giles of Arlington, TX, Peter (Nancy) Roe of Dallas, TX, Michael (Diana) Roe of Berwyn, PA, Nancy (Steven) Rapp of East Northport, NY, and the late Ron and his wife Linda of Newnan, GA. Cherished grandfather of Heather, Anji, Veronica, Monica, Sara Grace, Hallie, Christopher, Matthew, Spencer, Cassie, and Stephanie. Dear great grandfather of Chase, Chandler, Chloe, Lily, Maddie, Mitchell, Jacqueline, Peter, Nicholas, Michael, Meredith, Jessica, Sophia, Benjamin, Margaret, and Grace. Visitation at Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave, Northport, Friday, 6-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Saturday, St. Anthony of Padua Church, East Northport, 10:30 AM. Interment Commack Cemetery. The family is very thankful for his caregivers, Lisa and Karrell.
