Obituary of Emil Bonomi

Emil Bonomi - Age 91. Of Mentor, OH for the past 5 years (formerly of Ridge, NY). Died Friday April 27, 2018 at Lake West Medical Center, Willoughby, OH. He was born May 31, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. Retired TV repairman and school bus driver. US Army/Air Force veteran serving during WWII. Former member of St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church, Shoreham, NY.

A wonderful and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. Survivors include his children: daughter Florence Brady, daughter Christine Yeckley and son in-law Steven Yeckley, daughter Hope Bonomi and son in-law Joe Curcio, son Gerard Bonomi, daughters in-law: Margaret Bonomi, Donna Bonomi son in-law Donnie Schmaltz, 48 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, several brother and sisters in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his precious wife: Florence Bonomi, sons: Emil Bonomi II, Lee Bonomi, parents: Phillip and Mary Grace Bonomi, sisters: Sadie and husband (Louie) Lopresti and Josephine and husband (Bill) Catania.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 & 7-9 pm on Sunday May 6, 2018 at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Monday May 7, 2018 at Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave, Northport, NY 11768. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
