Obituary of June Sheehan

Sheehan, Eleanor June (nee Kear) of Commack. On July 17, 2018, our beautiful mother and wife, June, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by the family who loves her so dearly. She was an exceptional woman, whose life was rooted in faith, generosity, and love for others. We will miss her every day of our lives, but will be forever grateful for hers.

June leaves behind to mourn her passing her devoted and loving husband of 64 years, Michael, with whom she shared a love for the ages. She also leaves behind her beloved children, Mary Theresa Greenberg (Michael), June Munson (Robert), Ellen Carroll (Jim), Cathy Kent (John), Michael (Teri), Joseph (Jim Niforos), and Annmarie Lang (Michael). She is also survived by her 13 cherished grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren (one on the way).

June's family invites you to attend the services to celebrate her life. The wake will be held at Nolan-Taylor-Howe Funeral Home in Northport, on Sunday 7/22, from 2-5 and 7-9pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Dix Hills, on Monday, 7/23, at 10:45 am. Interment to follow Long Island National Cemetery.
