So sorry to hear of Thor's passing. While our paths did not cross often; he always carried a smile and never had a negative word to speak of anyone. RIP Thor.

My friend, the one who made me feel special as an awkward child, as a lost adolescent and a frightened adult. I loved you and then I missed you in my life. What a gift to connect with you this year. You will always be loved by me and I can’t wait to sail with you again. Sail in Sailor

We were so saddened to hear of Thor’s passing. My aunt Barbara and Thor were my godparents, and though I lost touch with Thor over the years, I thought of him often. He was loved by our family. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest easy, Thor. I love you.
Most Sincerely,
Mary (Broz), Amir, and Katie Ezzeddine

In the Summer of 1972 all the young sailors of Douglaston came together after a squall one day by the bay in Thor’s backyard. Somehow Thor and I, both avid amateur photographers began documenting our youth and the celebration of a “Daydream” (the Lovin’ Spoonful song that gave birth to a Douglaston youth sailing anthem gratefully funded by his loving Mom Dottie with soda snacks and film processing). It was a document that bound all of us Douglastonians together for years to come and it was Thor’s influence and enthusiasm that carried it through to completion and presentation. For that and the times we spent “Cadilacking” on the bay in September Song rail in the water, Thor’s memory is eternally ingrained as part of my youth and who I am. Thanks Thor, say hi and thanks again to Dottie for me....

I’m so sorry to see this. I have thought of Thor over the past 40+ years. We were childhood friends from nursery school through BuckleyC D School and always had a warm place in my heart for him.
