I am so saddened by this news and upset I didn't hear in time to extend my condolences to the kids and family. We had many good times and lots of laughs as neighbors in Crab Meadow. She was so proud of her children and we shared stories of them when we met as well as our love of books and reading. A lovely person she will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Kathy's daughters, whom she always spoke of with love and pride. Her maternal nature helped me get through my first years as a new teacher. She gave me advice when I needed it, as well as many laughs. I will never forget her quick wit and sharp mind. RIP, Kathy. You will be missed.

So saddened by this news. Our condolences to Kathy's beautiful family. She spoke lovingly of her daughters when she was my teacher. My husband and I, both former students, just told our daughters a Kathy story the other day... She was the most perfect (she'd correct this phrase, but I'm using it anyway!) combo of sarcasm and sweetness I've ever encountered. I'll always remember her tender Irish spirit. Prayers and love for you all during this extremely difficult time.
