It was truly a pleasure to deal with Bob. Every time I called, even with items he no longer dealt with, he would call around and help me out. His sales visits were always a pleasure, he had great stories to tell and was funny. He will surely be missed.

In this industry that we work in, the trucks are big but the circle is small. Some salesmen that call on you are very forgettable and then there was Bob. Bob was what is right in a world of wrong. Always smiling with his signature toothpick in his mouth. Sales talk came later, after he asked how you, your family, your sister's boyfriend's roommate etc. were doing. He was genuine in a world of fake. A pearl in a sea of oysters. I have never filled out one of these tributes but I felt compelled to do it for Bobby. When you hear of a passing of someone in our industry, you tend to tell yourself "what a shame" or offer up a quick Our Father, but Bobby's passing hurts. God speed young fella. It was my pleasure to know you for 20+ years.

I have such a vivid recollection of meeting your Dad, Bob, for the first time...he was a uniquely sweet, warm, humorous man who loved his family and was extremely proud of you! May he rest in peace and may your family find solace in memories of his goodness.
