Frank Orasin posted a condolence

I remember Tom so well although it has been many years that he lived across the street from we Orasins. He and Alda were the most friendly and folksy of people, always smiling, joking, dealing with day to day cares with always a positive attitude. Whether it was golf, politics or some other subject Tom always had his personal spin on the smallest detail and the biggest picture. He was always kind to me as a kid and of course he hired my brother Mike to work with him for many a summer in the ice cream business.. Great guy. Great family man. Surely he will be missed by all those he knew and socialized with. And, he loved his wife and children and was so very proud of them. Best wishes for the whole family as they morn his passing

To Robin, your Mom and the Caulfield Family:
You have my deepest sympathy and loving prayers for the loss of your dad, husband, granddad and great-granddad. I know of no other family as close-knit as yours. That is what life is all about - family, love, unconditional support. May God bless you and keep you strong.

Your Dad was a lucky man. From speaking to Robin over the years it sounds as if he never doubted the love and support from those he loved.
My memories from him go back to Springfield when he took you all on a new "adventure " as he changed jobs. You all embraced it making your mark on your new town. Lucky for us we got to know Robin even if only for a short time before your move to Ct. A friendship that that passed the test of time.
He spent years depending on others. Most especially your Mom. No easy feat but it sounds like his sense of humor and love never wavered.
My prayers go out to you all as you face life with out him. You are blessed with a father/husband to be proud of.
