I have often thought about Mr. Corie and how much of a difference he made in my life as a high school student. My family was a mess, and being the oldest, I was in the "what happens in these walls stays in these walls" mode. I remember going to his office to change a class, and three hours later, I had told him my life story (yes, can be long even for a high school student). After that, he took me under his wing, watched out for me, and checked in with me all the time. It made me feel safe. He is/was a wonderful man, and I am very grateful that he was in my life at the exact time I needed him most. My condolences to all his family, but know he made a huge difference in my life and in the lives of many others.
