I worked with Jerry from 2004 until the time he left the AG's office.
Very saddened to learn of his passing. May his memory always be a blessing and a comfort to his wife and family and all who knew him.

We called him Uncle Jerry, he loved all his nieces and nephews. He was always happy and joking around. Thank you Aunt Terry for bringing this great guy into Our lives. You will be missed so much Uncle Jerry but never forgotten. Love your niece Cindy Lou

We miss Jerry so much already. Traveled the world with Terry and Jerry. They will remain among our fondest memories. We’re so sorry that we can’t be at your final farewell but you know how much we love you, and we’ll always pray for you and to you Jerry. Love, Tony and Dell

This picture perfectly captures the relationship I had with my Uncle Jerry. Thank you for being a second father to me, for being my biggest critic (always keeping me humble no matter the milestone LOL), teaching me my street smart skills, and of course, appreciating the love of good company and good music. You are a true legend and will forever live in our hearts. Thank you for all that you’ve contributed in our lives. I love you!!

Gerard, I know that you knew down deep that Brendan, Alexandra and Aidan loved you very much and I know that you loved them. I hope that you are at peace now. I had a mass said for you on Tuesday and my priest said that he will continue to pray for you. I am heartbroken. Please know that me and my entire family always held you in the highest esteem. I know that with more time, you would have come to realize that. We will miss you so much and will never forget you. I will be with you in thought and spirit this weekend and always. Love and Peace, Rosemary

Words cannot express the sadness in my heart. Uncle Jerry, you will be missed. Your funny personality and generosity will be forever remembered. My prayers go out to your whole family during this time. I'm sure that my dad was waiting at those pearly gates to see you and help you navigate the heavens. I will be checking your garage for the carousel horse that you always said you had for us to ride, but yet I never saw because it was always being "fixed" Love you always--Ruth

I shall be first! There are too memories to share, so I will mention a few. Gerard (known to most as Jerry) was a giant of a man. He was a dedicated NYC police officer with many commendations to his name. He was a fierce investigator. He never bragged, but often regaled us with his many escapades working in Bedford-Stuyvesant, among other places. His beloved Brooklyn was his beat. He was very entertaining. He did many generous acts, including volunteering at the World Trade Center rescue & recovery. He was the smartest man I ever met. He seemed tough, but everyone who knew him learned quickly what a soft heart he had. This was clearly evident in his love of animals. He never met a pet he didn't like & all his pets were rescues: Bazooka, Zena, Minnie, Krackhaus, Fender, Gibson, & his latest rescue beautiful Katy., among others I'm sure I'm forgetting. He loved his family, (both sides) & I'm sure all his nieces & nephews can all tell tales of the infamous Uncle Jerry initiations, AKA, torture! All in good fun! He was very funny. Joking aside, he would do anything for family or friends. He loved cars, motorcycles, art & music. His music tapes were eclectic and it was a highlight of any visit to his home, to listen to his tapes. I am saving the best for last! He had a wonderful marriage to his beautiful wife, Terry, & they enjoyed their many travels around the world. They were blessed to have met each other. But mostly, I think he was happiest, in his little house, hidden away on their private hill, sitting with Terry, in their secret garden, surrounded by his beloved pets, listening to music. This is how I like to think of you now! Love you, miss you. RIP my brother!

In memory of my brother. His valiant fight is over; may he rest in peace with all his loved ones who passed before him. We will miss him terribly, but he is always with us. RIP brother!
