I am very sorry to hear of Mr. Cavagnaro's passing. The last time we talked he told me many stories of the Northport/East Northport of the past and shared many fond memories of my recently deceased father and mother. He helped make that very difficult time a bit easier, and boy, did he ever make me laugh! On behalf of the Limbach family, we express our deep condolences and gratitude.

All of Frank's fellow inductees to the Northport Athletic Hall of Fame share our sincere condolences to the entire Cavagnaro family on the recent passing of our good friend. Frank was a very talented athlete "in his day." While his personality was also special in high school, it remained so throughout his very full lifetime. We all have our own favorite "Frank Cavagnaro story" that brings a smile our face.
May you rest in a peace friend, you have made Northport very proud.

Mr. Cavagnaro was a Northport H.S. Football "Hall of Famer". A strapping, somewhat gruff, intimidating man who was the quintessential Teddy Bear with a heart of gold. There wasn't a sad luck, sob story that didn't delay paying the rent or having a month to"Get back on your feet." He donated much to the Northport community, mostly anonymously and many benefited unknowingly from his generosity. I will miss him. I will miss him yelling at me. I will miss him making fun of me but I'll never forget him. Diana Hannon

Miss your calls and our talks, your advice and guidance, your love and compassion.
Enjoyed our dinners, discussing 'things' while having a glass of Moscato (the good stuff!) It's so surreal. I can't believe you've gone! Will keep you in my heart forever!
Love eternally, Debbie
