I met John in 2004. We worked together. I found John to be a good friend and enjoyed his company along with his whole hearted laughter. After my first day of work I mentioned to my wife I met a nice old gent who made me feel welcome that day. My wife Debbie knew John very well. Deb met John through business many years before. The two hit it off in an instant as they shared the same banter and humor. I think John met his match that day... John was a proud man. His presence was often noted in his voice and his humor. His pride beamed with joy as he spoke of his children as they strived toward adulthood. I often heard the stories of Johns fatherhood, his quest to insure his sons safety and to insure their survival to grow. Clearly his joy. John would light up as he spoke of his his best friend, his life's partner, Maria. I can remember one of his many stories. As his boys would be heading out the door for a night out with their friends, John would tout , If you fellas are going to do anything less than brilliant this evening, before you do give me a call. I'll join you. Be safe and I love you. Rest easy old friend. You've done a fine job. Deb and Rich Borner
