Denise was my 5th grade teacher at Dickinson Avenue Elementary School. She started off the year as Miss Powers, and got married before the end of the school year. Our moms had a little "shower" for her in the classroom. I'll never forget how touched she was. There was a cake and other goodies. We were all so excited for her.
