Uncle Fred was one who touched my heart in so many ways. As a child growing up, I spent a lot of time with my cousin Heather, going back and forth to each others houses. I remember one time Uncle Fred had a beater car with no back seat, and Heather and I were sitting in the back. We went home to Bloomsburg by way of Green Creek Rd. back behind Orangeville, and it had a big bump in the road. He would speed up when we got to the bump, and we would fly over the bump laughing, singing, and having a great time. He always treated me like his own, and loved him very much. Anytime we were in the car, we would sing a lot, but I especially loved to hear him and Aunt JoAnn sing together. It was music to my ears. Thanks for all the great memories Uncle Fred. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Until we meet again.
Your Loving Niece,
Lachelle L. Fulmer

I am so grateful and blessed to have known Mr. Cleaver! He was a wonderful man! I loved seeing his face and eyes light up the time I caught trout for him. Blessings and prayers to Chris, Heather and family.

Chris, Heather, JoAnn, and kids. My deepest sympathies to you and your entire family on the passing of your Dad and Grandfather. So many great memories of time spent with your family. Our tense trip back from Rehobath Beach when nobody was allowed to speak and I read the featured movie title out loud and the entire car burst out in laughter. I think we were lost because it was not a Disney Movie title! Curly always made us laugh. He was truly a talented, generous, and genuine man. He was a wonderful Dad. I am glad that I was fortunate to have known and laughed with him. May he rest in peace. With Love, Rich

Chris and Heather,
I’m sorry to hear the passing of your dad. He was a great guy. Probably the coolest Boy Scout leader. I have a lot of memories of him from being at your house so much, and your mom calling him Curly.

Sincere sympathies to Chris, Heather and the extended Cleaver family. Fred and my Dad grew up together and enjoyed each other as Dad would reminisce about their times together up until the time of his death. They were so close that Fred served as a groomsman at my parents wedding. I particularly remember his booming voice at Zion church services and social gatherings. Curly and Dad can now relive the good old days growing up in Forks. Rest In Peace to a great man!
Condolences from Caledonia, MI.

To the local kiddos he was known as Grandpa C, the oldest man they've ever met. He would always greet the kids with a huge smile. If you had chocolate you made his day that much more brighter. Always reading the paper and watching the news. He could always be found sitting outside. Grandpa C, may chocolate and hot chocolate be the best in heaven as you watch over all of those who loved you.
Much love, Amanda and the boys

Dad LOVED to paint and to create. Together with my Mom, they renovated a Victorian house on First Street in Bloomsburg into a beautiful home. This is Dad a few years back working at my house in Northport.

Dad worked as Bloomsburg University Manager of Custodial Services for more than 30 years. Before we moved to First Street, we lived on campus next to President Andruss' home. I remember having fun with Dad at work: riding my red tricycle; walking under the tunnels from his office to the Commons; learning my numbers sitting on Mary Haggerty's lap, then University phone operator, by helping (my hand on hers) to connect the cord to the requested extension on the board; as a little person with a little bike, during homecoming my job was to stuff tissues in the lowest layer of the chicken- wire skirt of parade floats; and lots of fun in the greenhouses, swimming, and walking on campus. Fast forward and during my years as a BU student, I would visit Dad between classes for a quick pick-me-up coffee. How lucky was I! All good training for my work as executive director of AITU, a higher education consortium of 22 U.S. private technological universities.
