Obituary of Michael J. Hosie

Hosie, Michael James, 64 of Commack, NY. Beloved son of David B. Hosie, Sr. and the late Carol L. Hosie. Cherished brother of David, Jr. (Eileen), Susan (the late Neil) Marconi, Robert (Lisa), Thomas (Susan), and William (Anne). Fond uncle of Jillian, Heather (Frank), David III (Brenna), Jacqueline, Mark (Amanda), Ryan (Hayley), Russell (Julia), Jessica (Eric), Jessalyn (Timothy), Kevin, and Olivia and great uncle to Paisley, Piper, Braden, and Adeline. Dearly loved nephew and cousin of many. Michael worked as a skilled carpenter, painter, and handyman. He was an accomplished basket weaver and talented crafter who gifted all he knew with irreplaceable baskets, artwork, and décor that will be cherished for eternity. Michael was a beloved family member who always lent a hand on any project and always spread cheer to his parents’ friends by checking in on them weekly with a phone call to brighten their days. He enjoyed fishing with his close friends and always had an interesting story to tell.  Michael is predeceased by his mother, Carol L. Hosie and brother-in-law, Neil S. Marconi. Reposing at Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave., Northport, Sunday 3-6 PM. Funeral Mass Monday 10 AM, St. Philip Neri Church, Northport. Cremation private.
