Obituary of Leonard P. Novara
Leonard Paul Novara was born in Trapani Sicily in 1928 to Gioacchino and Giovanna (Canino) Novara. His parents with their five children arrived in America via Ellis Island in 1935. They settled in Brooklyn NY where he and his family spent his childhood years.
In 1948 he joined Schenley Industries as a mailroom clerk and rose to achieve the title Vice President, National Sales Manager of the Schenley Imports Co. It was there that he met Gloria Borneo, the love of his life and wife of seventy years.
He leaves behind his wife Gloria, two daughters, Janine Judice and Cathy Lombardo, son-in-law Sal Judice, four grandchildren, John Leonard, Christopher, Michael and Gabrielle and four great grandchildren, Annie, Marina, Ilaria and Leonardo.
His family was his greatest pleasure and he enjoyed every minute of the time spent with them. He was loved by everyone that had ever met him for his wonderful personality. He was kind, generous, compassionate, honest, helpful, caring and amusing. A true giver in every sense. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services where private. A memorial for the public will happen in the future.
