Sue hired me at AHA almost a decade ago— she gave me my start here after grad school, and I’ll always be grateful. I’d always admired her commitment to both her professional and personal life, and think it was a model that I’ve always tried to emulate over the years. She will be missed around Long Island. I’ll be thinking of Sue, Doug, and their family.

I worked with Susan at the AHA early in my career. She was always so positive and was a great leader, always willing to help, give a suggestion, or support in any way. She would came back from her travels and activities with Doug glowing, telling us all about her sailing trip or hike or delicious meals. She will be missed. May her memory be a blessing.

Sue was my colleague and supervisor at American Heart. She was a focused, fair and kind manager and friend. The obituary captures her so beautifully. She is multi-talented and always energetic. Likely she is at peace but forever moving. May her spirit move around us now.

My deepest condolences. Sue was an incredible person and so full of energy and positivity. I regret that I was only able to work with her for a short period of time supporting her on the amazing contribution she made at Northwell Heath to help fund their vital work. While we may not be able to see her light with our eyes anymore, her brightness will carry on for the longest time in our hearts and memories.

I had the honor and privilege to work with Sue at the AHA. She had the best laugh, warmest heart and just loved life to fullest. We spent many hours in the NYC office just hanging and sharing stories about boating, husbands and family. She was a gift and may her memories live on. My heart goes out to her family. My sincere condolences- Helaine Baruch

I had the good fortune to work with Sue at the Heart Association. She was always a step ahead of the rest of us, calmly and serenely leading the way.
May her memory bring comfort to her family.

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Sue at AHA. She had the unique ability to navigate any situation with her intelligence, passion, sense of humor and quiet dignity. She and Doug were great travelers and adventurers. I am so saddened that their journey was cut short. I will always treasure the memories.
Sending my deepest condolences to her family.
