I just read the messages from Milou, Alba and Simone and it would be hard to top those -- they say it all, so much to the point. I can say that after I met Maureen all comedy movies and routines became a great disappointment -- nothing is as riotously funny as Maureen and her kooky, zany family. Before Maureen, I thought Woody Allen movies were funny and "New York crazy"... after I met Maureen, Woody Allen's movie schtick seemed dull and normal. I still frequently tell the Matt "Toothbrush- Great Dane" story -- it is one of my top 368 hilarious Spirn stories. Love to Larry, Jenny, Matt and all their appendages. Love, Steven.

Maureen, your irreverence was sidesplittingly funny but also uplifting. You used humour to look the real questions straight in the eye rather than to run away, as so many do. The fact that nothing was sacred made everything so. One half of an inimitable duo that embellished on each other’s one liners without skipping a beat and set a beautiful example of true love and partnership in a world where such models are sorely lacking. Larry, Jenny and Matt, thinking of you and sending cousinly love to you all. Milou

Alba lit a candle

Fondly remember sitting with the family laughing so hard we were brought to tears. Or being regaled with tales of convincing restaurants and establishments to let her furry tailed friends in. My sister and I lit a candle just like this one to ensure her safe travels. She will be missed, may she rest in peace. Alba and Simone (Granddaughters of Avi)
