Obituary of Harold Ford

Harold Ford on February 28, 2022, 87 years of age. Beloved husband of 67 years to Yvonne. Loving father of Kevin and his wife Anne and Karen Kohler and her husband Marty. Cherished Poppy of Kevin Jr. and his wife Heather, the late Kacie Buchanan and her husband Anthony, Katie Cricchio and her husband Johnny and Karlie Kohler. Adoring great grandfather of Aubrey, Austin & J.J. Fond brother of the late James Ford and his late wife Charlotte. Harold was a proud Army Veteran who served during the Korean War, and was an active member of the Elwood VFW. Harold worked for Grumman for over 40 years. During his years working he spent time getting his Master's degree and went on to enjoy being an adjunct professor at the State University at Farmingdale teaching evening classes. After his retirement from Grumman he enjoyed working for the Nolan Funeral Home as a greeter and professional pallbearer. Harold was an active and founding member of Christ Lutheran Church of East Northport, where he also volunteered many days to help out with the maintenence and grounds. Visiting will be Saturday 2-5 & 7-9 pm at the Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport. Funeral Service will be held Monday at Christ Lutheran Church at 10:30 am followed by a burial at Calverton National Cemetery with Military Honors.
