To Jane and family,
I worked with George for many years at InfoConversion
doing sales. Remember well going into his sunny corner office for many things always there for me.
Although very entertaining his best one was at a small ibut wonderful infoconversion reunion about 5 years ago George who look amazing btw comes over to me to tell me a story i might not be aware of laughing as he is about to tell me ! George said he removed a parking sign at the president of the publishing side i don't remember his name but it was the first spot in the parking lot threw the sign inside his trunk drove around to the back of the building and tossed the sign over the fence. When the sign got stolen He ran to George screaming that i'm sure Jill Glasser took it for she loves parking in my spot !!!
the joy and happiness in George telling me that story was truly priceless!
Btw i don't remember parking in his spot.

I am so sorry for your loss. George was a great leader and always kind. He was so understanding when I lost my mom in my 20's while working at Infoconversion. And I loved the smell of his cherry tobacco pipe!

Our heart felt condolences to our dear friend Jane and family. Although we are on the other side of the country, please know our hearts are with you. We hold in our memories the image of George smiling with that glint in his eye, head rolled back in silent laughter, pipe perched as always. May the sweet memories of George continue to dwell in the hearts of us all. We send our love, Andy & Barbara

Dear Jane, Anne, George and Jane, Our extended Devine family of first cousins send prayers for comfort and love. My dear Godfather George the Captain will have no more pain or sorrow but heavenly peace. We will miss him at family reunions and celebrations but continue to remember him forever. My dear Godfather George used to carry me on his shoulders when I was a child. His brother Bobby, Godfather of my younger brother Terry would carry Terry on his shoulders in our younger years as we visited New York. George would tease his brother Bobby and call him “Sam the Man”. We never knew the back story but it was another of George’s great sense of humor and story telling gifts. At our Devine family reunions, even though my 3 brothers and I were younger, George and Bobby made sure we were included in the fun and take us on boat adventures often as we were growing up. Those are some of my best family memories. All of our cousins were raised to care about one another and to share fun times with lots of laughter. We lost our Devine Patriarch Fr. Dick a few years ago. These past few years our cousin George, my Godfather who I always looked up to, was our Devine family Patriarch. I’m not sure but maybe my brother Brian is now our Devine Patriarch? Brian, his wife Silvija and his children along with our brother Terry and our children & grands give thanks for the mini reunion memories at Fr. Dick’s a few years ago, photos throughout our lives, Breezy Point Reunions. I have always said I have the best Godparents in the world and I am thankful for George during his life and continue to give thanks for my dear Godmother Joan (Christofani) Myers. This photo is of George and Joan, both 20, at my baptism in1949. Praying blessings with love, Jack Devine’s daughter Rita Marie (Devine) and my husband, Ben Grace and children & grandkids
