What a wonderful sister-in-law Peggy was to me. From the fun times at Beef and Ale and Knollwood Beach in the early '70's; through the on-again/off-again dating with Eddie (my best friend) and Peggy; to the times hanging out together as couples on vacations in Florida, Bermuda, New England, etc.; as we raised our children together - always managing to stay close despite the physical distance between families. It's hard to capture fifty years of friendship and love in a paragraph following Peggy's funeral, but Peggy was truly loved and will remain in my heart forever. I might even root for the Mets to beat the Dodgers this year - although that's not for certain ;-)

My name is Linda McParland now Linda O’Brien. Peggy and I taught together at Mayer Christi High School in 1970’s. Peggy joined our faculty room and myself, Anna Maria Szabo(now Nedbalsky), Mary Mcbride and Mary Doyle (0ur much older mascot) fell in love with her quiet but determined humor and rebelliousness. We were all new teachers and ready to re educate the world. She was so wonderful and anyone who shared time with her is very lucky indeed. RIP Peggy. Last time I saw you you were a new mother for the second time and Both you and Eddie were so proud. We all eventually moved on and I moved to Ireland. I lost touch with Peggy but Anna Maria kept me informed. So very sad to be informed now of her passing. God bless you all and comfort you as well. I must mention Kate Rowe who also shared the faculty room and fun. She started with Peggyso they were a great team as well.
