To the Szeglin family,
Many neighbors are returning for the winter to Summerland Key and I just learned of Arthur's passing so I wanted to reach out and express my sympathy to Gladys and the family. I knew him from our Summerland Key Civic Association where we had neighborhood parties and events. He was one "spiffy" guy driving his corvette in his 80's! What an impressive background - I had no idea but it makes sense why the property is so lush. A love of plants, marine life, and planets...what a winning combo.
With sympathy - Donna and Ed Pezzi (1031 E Caribbean Drive, Summerland Key)

Our sincerest condolences to the entire family and especially Gladys. I've know Arthur over 50 years as he was one of my father's closest friends. He was an amazing person and perhaps the most curious individual I've ever met. This is clearly evidenced by his quest for continuing education - but even more it was exhibited in nearly every conversation I had with him. He always was asking questions about things he knew I was involved with. There were a lot of why questions and he often challenged conventional wisdom and didn't accept routine canned answers. He always wanted to get to the "real" cause and effect and he made me think about things in different ways. It made for some spirited exchanges and he was always fun to be around.
He also showed me what a true friend looks like in his interactions with my dad. During the last few months of my father's life Arthur called every day just to talk for a couple of minutes and it gave my dad something to look forward to each day. He's been there for my family for a long time and was an exceptional man in so many ways. The world could use more like you Art, we miss you.

Arthur, you will always remain the "Teddy Bear" in my heart. With the fondest Kinemotive memories of the 60's when you hired me, it's been an honor to know you, learn from you and grow because of you. Thank you, and the beautiful Szeglin family for enriching my life.
I miss you, dear Arthur.

Gladys and the Szeglin family will remain a part of my consciousness forever. From the moment I met Dr. Szeglin until a few days before he moved on, our encounters were nothing short of memorable and remarkable. Josephine and I had the honor of having dinner with him and Gladys and we attended a few functions together. Two memories are worth mentioning that will shed light on his passion for life and his curiosity. CFK gave a presentation on aquaponics and he came to me immediately after the presentation and asked what it would cost to set up an aquaponic garden at the College. Today, that garden still stands in his honor along with Gladys. The second memory is far removed from anything I thought he was going to ask about. He wanted us to fly to Haiti to investigate the validity of voodoo. Dr. Szeglin's legacy will live on into perpetuity. To those he leaves behind, please know that CFK is your family as well. RIP Dr. Szeglin.

Dear Gladys and family, my deepest condolences to the loss of a tremendous man. “Uncle Arthur” will always have a special place in my heart and memories. I remember him visiting us (his cousin Corinne) in Connecticut. He had an awesome red corvette and took me for a high speed adventure around the neighborhood. He was bigger than life. At my wedding he was holding court in his hotel room, bare chested with his bat necklace telling stories that me and my buddies were eating up. Uncle Arthur loved life to the fullest and was such an inspiration to be around. I hope he is having a Manhattan with my father and laughing at all the good times. Love you Uncle Arthur

Dear Gladys & Family,
Please accept our deep and sincere sympathy on the death of Artie.
Can you just imagine the warm and raucous greeting arrival in heaven as Stan, Barry, John Al and all the former wrestlers surround him. Heaven will never be the same.
I fondly remember how gracious & generous you and ‘brother’ Arthur were to Stan & me as you opened your hearts & home to us when the wrestlers got together both in Florida and New Jersey.
Gladys you and your family are in our prayers. Tom, Christine, & I will enroll Arthur in a service of masses
Love and God bless,
‘Sister’ Beatrice, Tom & Christine Stracey

I will always remember traveling with Arthur, for a business trip in one of his Corvettes, to "business" trips to the Florida Keys. He loved to share his home and his travels. Doris and I have so many memories of Arthur and Kinemotive. He was one of a kind.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Mr (& Mrs) Szeglin were always so warm and welcoming. Whether inviting us to join on a family trip to the Yankee game or opening their beautiful home in the Florida Keys to us (& our tag along friends), we always felt we “belonged”. The fabulous boat rides were beautiful, great memories we will cherish forever. Rest in Peace Mr Szeglin, you will be missed
Sincerely,
