Obituary of Jennifer Desmond

On Monday October 2, 2023 Jennifer Eighmey Desmond, peacefully passed away surrounded by family. She was 55 years old. Loving mother to Andrea and Amanda. Beloved daughter to Joyce and the late George Sutton. Cherished sister and aunt to Karen Sutton Farley and Felix Farley. Jennifer was a pillar of family and community, she was an impactful and devoted educator in the Northport School District for nearly 30 years with two Master’s degrees in Education. Jennifer loved life, and all the people she touched in her time here. She is a beautiful soul that had a smile that would light up a room.

Jennifer filled her life with a beautiful love of boating and the ocean, she cherished every sunset. She loved her friends and held the bonds they shared close to her heart.

She is also survived and loved by former husband Thomas Desmond, son-in-laws Zachary Belfer, and Jacob Grossman and dear friend John Donohue.

Visiting Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, NY Friday 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass Saturday 10 am at St. Philip Neri Church, Northport, with a private cremation to follow.
