Dr. Phyllis Masciandaro - 11/25/1932-10/26/2023. Wife. Mom. Doctor. Professor. Longtime resident of East Northport, passed quietly with family at her side on October 26, 2023 at 90 years old. Proud refugee from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Predeceased in 2016 by her loving husband of 61 years, Mario. Raised four children before deciding to attend college, going on to earn a Doctorate from NYU at 51 years old. Beloved mother of Donna Owen (Robert), Mario Matthew (Chieko), Vicki Candeloro (Gerard), and Richard (Jeanne Marie). Adored by her grandchildren, Matthew, Stefanie, Amanda, Joseph & Leo, and her great grandson, Christopher. Visiting Sunday, 1-5 PM at Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, NY 11768. Private service and cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Phyllis to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (t2t.org) would be greatly appreciated.
