My beautiful Esra. Im honored to call you one of my dearest friends. I will cherish our memories forever. I will miss you deeply. I will miss our meets in front of the NY Public Library, long phone conversations, deep life analysis, our shares for the books we read, shows we watch. I will miss you but love you always ❤️

I've got to know Esra closely in our senior year of college and our friendship went beyond school. I have been thinking about our memories and the common theme in all is her smile no matter what we were going through. I would like to send my condolences to her friends and family. I'll miss her.

Sending my deepest and sincerest condolences to Tom and the family. Esra will be greatly missed. She was a dear friend from college in Istanbul. We had so much fun as au-pairs in England after college. I am glad that I visited her in Long Island 6 years ago. I will always remember her as cheerful and happy.

I met Esra through mutual friends where we would have casual conversations when we all got together. This soon led to her offering to help me with my back problems. This is where our own friendship began. At first it was mainly massages and sharing self-care tips. But soon after, it led to lunches or dinners with lots of fun conversation, laughing all the time and always being supportive to each other. She spent the last few years fighting this battle in a strong, positive way and she did everything in her power to keep going. Although she was taken from us too soon, I will always be grateful for the time that she was part of my life. I will always continue with all things she taught me and she will always be dearly missed. Sending my deepest condolences and prayers to Tom and her mother, Gulser, and her sister Melda.
