I worked for Morty at Labert Lang Willen. It was my privilege and honor to work with such a wonderful man. His wife Millie and his family as wonderful as he. When my best friend was to marry, I asked Morty if he would officiate at their wedding-he answered, of course. Later I did some work for Milie and she educated me in some of the ways of a Jewish Family. She also told me to always have a money knot hankie , just incase.
Morty and his wonderful wife will be missed. With My sincere Sympathy n Love Vivien Ferrero

I moved to Long Island from the Bronx when I was 11. My parents purchased a home in East Northport. Shortly thereafter a discovered The Village of Northport where I was lucky enough to meet some amazing friends.
Joe had a party at his house when we were about 15. My cousins had been visiting from Queens. The party was awesome right there on the water.
It was a well attended party to say the least, just imagine the music and atmosphere.
In the middle of the party, my younger cousin cut his hand and was bleeding. Mort took my cousin up to his on suite where he clean the wound and bandaged it.
He did this while kids were having a loud raging party.
To this day I think of that night, and remind myself of what an incredible example he set.
Playing golf with him and Joe was a treasured experience that I will miss.
Mott lives in me as I’m sure he does in all who knew him.
God Bless
