RIP Pete and thank you for all the years of great service to 595 Main Street. I remember being in the hospital and sharing the same room with one of your sons in the 1980s. I recall he had lived the longest out of the 3 and I always prayed for him and your family after learning of cystic fibrosis.
thank you for your service as a fireman and your service to America through the Navy. May you be reunited with your sons which I am sure you miss dearly. God bless you a part of Northport you shall always be!

This photo is of the two very influential men in my life One I was blessed to have as a Father, the other I was blessed to call Him Uncle. Uncle Pete taught me to go for it, you will not know if you don't try, and nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself.
Favorite memory, when Uncle Pete chose to cut the birthday cake his way, a circle piece right out of the middle.
While others looked on debating who and how the cake should be cut. Another favorite memory was when my husband,
Bill DiNardo, decided to start a fire in the fireplace at Uncle Pet's home., unfortunately he, forgot to put open the flew., and the house began to fill with smoke. Uncle Pete didn't get upset, he just explained to my husband how to start a fire in the fireplace and keep it going. Nothing was too much for family.

Red and yellow stickers! Pete Cross is all I saw while wrenching on oil burners part time. I thought this guy must be great at what he does! I met the Great man while working for Jensen Marine Transport some years ago and every once in a while I would run into him and we would do a quick hello how are ya? He inspired me to get knee surgery ASAP he had both done! Tough Gentleman Great man Rest Peacefully Rest.

I remember the bag swing we went to on library hill when I tagged after you and my cousins, and being your secretary at Cross Electric.

Loved all the Summer holiday parties as a kid...remember swimming in the pool til my lips were blue and sitting on the skate board going down the driveway while all the dads were playing horseshoes. Best memories. Always loved looking for Uncle Pete at the Fireman's Fair and he always had a big smile.
