John was a loving and very kind man. He always had his white cowboy hat, and a smile for everyone. John was quick to help anyone do a country partner dance. He had a wealth of dancing knowledge and wanted to share. I have never seen him without a smile. When he saw you, his face lit up. John always made everyone feel loved and important. John, you will be sorely missed. Save us all a spot on the dance floor until we all get there.

John was always a gentleman with his warm and welcoming smile. I will truly miss seeing him out linedancing with Lynn. Thanks for all the dances John. Rest in peace, no more pain my good friend.

We will miss you, John. You are a very gentle and kind person. When Chion was advised to do cataract surgery, Chion was very worried. You shared your experience with him and comforted him very much. You were a great friend and enjoyed Chinese food and cooking. A few weeks ago, we met in the Percy Rayor Park, you were still talkative. We wish you rest in peace in Heaven. From Yeelay and Chion

I and my husband Tom, were very close to John and Rose,we met each other 55 years ago and shared many experiences with them and all of our children. he was a super guy to know ,always ready to help and he shared his Navy experiences with my husband and Paul Boehm ,another friend.My sympathy and love go out to all his family, and I know he is together with Rose. I want to send my condolences to John’s family. I met John and Lynn at a line dance bar in San Diego about 6 years ago. He would always keep in touch with me over the years and was so, so kind, positive, interesting and funny! I loved chatting with him and loved how much he loved to line dance! He even sent me a lucky horseshoe that we have in our home today and a t shirt from his favorite line dance bar, the Nutty Irishman. He was such a good, good man who loved Lynn, his family, and line dancing so much. I am grateful for our long distance friendship and will never forget John. He was one of a kind. Thank you for your friendship. I am honored to have known you. God bless you John, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I know you are at peace in heaven watching over your loved ones (and line dancing too!)
