Joe was one of the best people I ever met. His kindness, calm demeanor, and peaceful spirit were a gift to all. As a neighbor and friend I will miss him forever. I’m sure he is sharing a glass of red wine with my Jeff while discussing NY sports. My family and I are thankful to have him in our lives. Ripley Dr will never be the same. Be at peace Joe and guide us all.

Joe Meade was so many things to me…a dear friend and confidant, a mentor, advisor, spiritual guide and father figure combined. I am so blessed to have had him in my life, but I will miss him dearly. So many wonderful times together starting with being neighbors on Richlee Court. Great memories of apartment parties, long and beautiful days at West End One and sharing laughter and tears over the course of 50 years ! Joe was always the quiet voice of reason who so loved June and the girls and who was the kind of friend we knew we could call at any time and he would be there. Rest in peace dear Joe…

Joe will be missed by all who loved him.I feel truly blessed to have had a very close friendship with Joe since Kindergarten, Sept. 1950 ( for the past 75 years ) up until the day before he passed.
