I will miss you my friend John. Your smile, your quite ways. Although I've known you since the mid nineties and I only saw you once a year, we always greeted each other with a bright smile and a hug. I would be spinning trying to get you all the financial info you needed and you would stand there with a smile and say "no problem". Rest in the peaceful arms of God now John. You are home and without pain. Until we meet again. You will always be in my heart.
John worked hard but always maintained a wonderful sense of humor. Working with John on difficult budget matters was fun, because of his ability to find humor in every problem. He was a great CPA, a good friend and a wonderful person. I will miss him.
Remembering with fondness the boys graduation from Bryant College back in 1978. John,Don,Pete & Danny. We are Don's parents and wish to extend our deepest sympathy to John's family.
I was a friend of John's from the 6th grade through high school. He was such a musical and art talent, but his greatest asset was the smile on his face and his warm heart. I remember fondly meeting John many years after high school graduation and seeing the love and pride in his eyes when he spoke of Laurinda and showed me pictures of his children!
May your happy times carry you through this sorrowful time.
I can still see John in my office wearing one black shoe and one brown shoe because he got dressed in the dark. I will always think of him with a smile on my face.
Johnny (as he was called) was my best friend growing up, my across the street neighbor on Oliver Avenue in Westbury. He had remarkable talents in music and art and I always admired him for them. I can still see him playing the organ in the Lowrey Organ store window in Roosevelt Field! Or wrestling Jimmy to the ground in a brotherly fight. Or making giant waves in my backyard pool. Or riding bikes, racing slot cars, assembling models, collecting insects in cigar boxes, finding "dinosaur" bones in the lot behind his house (they were old cow bones but boy were we excited). Obviously I could go on and on but let me just say that he gave me the best childhood I could have possibly had. I am so sorry that I did not keep in better touch and meet his wonderful family. Lauri has been great getting me though this. I will fill the hole in my heart with the wonderful memories of my best friend John. Rest in peace dear buddy, Paul
