My father was one of a kind. Funny, smart, gentle and kind. He was the shinning example in our lives. He taught us how to be good and decent. To me, he was a mentor, a teacher, a shoulder to lean on, a sage offering advice. I cannot express the impact he had on my life and the lives of those around him. Those that knew my father, loved him. His quick wit, wry smile and contageous laugh. A part of me is gone with his passing, the light no longer so bright. But although I grieve his loss, I know his suffering has ended, his pain eased. He resides now in heaven, taken there on the wings of angels, to watch over those he loved and who loved him so. And one day I know that we will meet again. Until that time, I carry him in my heart and soul. I love you Dad.
