She was always known to us as "Grandma the Great" - I called her that as a child and I'm not sure who started it; I or one of my cousins. I was the first Great Grandchild of she and William Norton-Taylor and in August I gave birth to my daugher, Bailey Nichole D'Addona, and Claire Norton-Taylor's first and only great-great grandchild.
I remember visting New York in 1993 and 1997. I more memories of visiting NY at a younger age than of the vists Great Gpa & Gma made down here to Florida. The last time I saw Great Grandpa was in 2001 and the last time I saw Great Grandma was in 2006 following Great Grandpa's death.
They came from a special generation - one of faithfulness, love, dedication, and loyalty to their family. The stories you hear of them, of her, you don't hear those stories in today's society. They truly were one of a kind and unlike anyone I've known today. Speaking for both William & Claire Norton-Taylor, they will always be loved and most dearly missed. My only regret is not having more memories and time with them as I grew up in Orange Park FL and vists were few and far between. Nevertheless, love remains in my heart and the many families of the Norton-Taylors which they left behind.
I've yet to see and meet a cuter couple or people with kinder and more gracious hearts.
All my love and I'll see you at the Gates - Sandy
