Faraldi, Albert V. of Huntington, suddenly on January 1st, 2009, in his 81st year. Loving husband of the late Dorothy M. (Manalio) Faraldi who died July 18th, 2008. Born in North Bergen, NJ. December 11, 1927, son of the late Frank Faraldi and the late Mary (Capobianco) and her late 2nd husband Joseph Pollio. Albert was an avid fishermen. Also a loyal supporter, as well as the 1981 Man of the Year, for the Boys & Girls Town of Italy. In 1957 he was nominated by Gov. Robert B. Meyner of NJ to receive the Outstanding American of the Year Award, later confirmed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. On May 10, 1981 he was selected as the Man of the Year "Food Merchant" at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel with over 500 people present, including his Mother for Mother's Day. It was an honor and a thrill. He was predeceased by his sister Grace Anderson. Albert is survived by his three sons, Albert and his wife Claudia of Pt. Pleasant, NJ, James A. of Cohoes, NY and Russell and his wife Michelle of Los Angeles, CA. Devoted Grandfather of Rob, Jamie and his wife Geraldine, Nicholas and the late Christopher.
