When I remember of Aunt Alice, I think of a caring, loving, and generous person. One fond memory I have of Aunt Alice started with a conversation at our home in Commack. I was a college senior and she was asking me about my plans for the future. In the conversation it came out that I didn’t have a car to use upon graduation. Without hesitation, she said “I have a car you can use”. At the time I didn’t even know she had a car. This was 1984 and the car was a 1956 Ford Fairlane. Not knowing what to expect, I went to her house a few days later. We opened the garage and there she was, a beautiful classic car covered in dust with only 28,000 miles on the odometer. My brother Arthur and I took it home, applied a little bit of elbow grease and that baby looked showroom fresh. It was such a trill to be driving around in such a cool car! My brother and I really enjoyed that car. Whenever I see a classic car go by I think of Aunt Alice (a classic herself).
