It wasn't long after entering Elwood Middle School ("Jr. Hi") as a 7th grader, did one get the impression that there was something special about Tom D'allesandro (& not just his athletic prowess on the athletic field)* He had a great sense of humor also & I'll always remember the occasion when he made us "fellas" break out in laughter in music class one day, as the instructor at the blackboard looked on helplessly. Sure gonna miss you Tom..

Simply put, I would not be where I was today if not for this man.
Although Tom was seven years younger than me, he became my mentor in Nuclear Medicine. Fortunately, he became my friend, as well. One does not often run across quality human beings as great as he was. His passing, though expected, leaves a huge hole in my gut and an emptiness that will be there for the rest of my life.
God bless you, Tommy D’.

Dear Tommy, I am in shock and deeply saddened to hear of this unfortunate news. It’s been some years since we met up at the IMac theatre to hear great music and of course growing up on Julia lane shaped our lives with fond memories of family, friends, sports and just being with everyone in the neighborhood. I always think of you, our son is a big Red Sox fan and I always remember how much loved Carl Youstremski and the Red Sox. And of course helping my dad coach my little league teams. Over the years when we saw each other you always asked about the families we all grew up with, you were sincerely interested in knowing everyone’s well being. I will always have fond memories of you, rest in piece my friend.

To our next-door family, the D'Alessandros. Too many words to write and none do Tom justice, nor do they relay the relationship between our families. Tom will never be forgotten and always be loved by us Almost 30 years under our belts together, and what a ride it has been. Lots of meetings on the driveway, at the fence and on the grass, all times of the day and night, and some great get aways together. We will always be reminded to be humble and kind; he was a great teacher and always walked that walk. Rest peacefully Tom. Much love to you Pam, Alexa, John and family.
