Jim was a special man and one of the kindest people you would ever meet. He was my uncle and I hold him dear in my heart. He was selfless and supportive and served the people of New York with honor. My memories of him include giving me my first baseball glove (he was an excellent baseball player), watching with him the 1980 Olympic hockey game between the USA and Russia, enjoying his dog who tried to drive the car (down a hillside), and watching his inevitable frustration on Sunday’s with the Giants. I always looked up to you, Jim, and thank you for all your kindness. I will miss you a lot, but especially your loving family. Martin Healy
