I am just so sorry and sad at Leonas passing, she was such a caring friend, never forgetting my birthday, or a holiday ,, she is one of my sisters best friends and I was truly Blessed to have had Leona in my life too. She always kept me updated with coco[nut] as I was the person who helped her find and purchase Coco[nut]..and am so happy I did since Coco gave Leona so many years of happiness.I will miss her terribly as anyone who was Blessed enough to know her will. I send prayers for Chris and all her family and friends , and for my sister Gale who willnow have a void to fill I hope with only happy memories of all their times and escapdes thru the years .. Leona I know you are with Coco again you will always be in my heart and prayers,, Peaceful journey my friend Love, Kathleen

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Leona. In 1986, I rented the back cottage with my 5 year old son, Daniel. It was paradise for him. There were ducks, geese, dogs cats galore. We became very close and shared dinner together often. Dan would take trips to the firehouse with Ed and Leona and Dan would watch every Mets and Islanders game laying on her living room floor eating snacks. We stayed for 6 wonderful years. I wanted her to meet Dan's children. So many memories of loving and wonderful times. RIP Leona. I will never forget what you did for us.

I am so sad to see that Leona has passed away. She and I were classmates at Huntington High School and I was so happy that she chose to attend our 50th Reunion right after her beloved Ed passed away. Please know that Leona and all of her family and dear friends are in my thoughts and prayers. Linda Guido
