Obituary of Orien E. McDaniel, Jr. "Mac"

McDaniel, Jr. Orien E. “Mac” on December 26, 2023 in his 84th year, formerly of Boise, Idaho, recently of Northport, NY. Loving son of the late Orien E. McDaniel and the late Ethel McDaniel. Orien was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He went to the Missouri School of Journalism at University of Missouri in Columbia for his Undergraduate degree and to the University of Indiana for his Master’s degree. Orien worked in the advertising industry for many years. While working for his client, AT&T, he came up with the slogan, “Reach out and touch Someone, it’s better long distance.” Reposing Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue Northport, Sunday January 7th, 1-4 PM. With U.S. Army Military Honors at 3:30 PM, and a methodist funeral service to follow. Orien will be buried in his family plot, Tuesday January 16th, at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
